I think I paid £50 for my Quad IIs. They worked well enough into the Quad '57s (no surprise there). Kept them for a while as a 'back up', but eventually gave them away to a friend who had a pair for spares, should the need arise.
Apropos the Quad 57s for sale - the grills on these are vulnerable to dents, which whilst not impossible to 'repair', has to be done carefully with the grills removed and that alone can cause further damage. So if it can be shown that the Quads are in immaculate cosmetic condition, then the asking price, whilst still too high does seem a little more reasonable.
