    Default Surround Speaker cable recommendation

They all sound the same ....sorry guys, not interested in that discussion.

Having just got myself a pair of Kef 3001se's for back l/r purposes I'm on the hunt for some decent cable. Surely anything will be better than the el cheapo 30 odd strand I've temporarily got hooked up at the mo. Amp is an Arcam Solo 5.1 solo. The runs have to be at least 9 metres per channel.

I'll be buying 2nd hand if possible. Looking for something in keeping with the system price-wise.

From experience can anyone recommend decent stuff? Budget? Dunno, probably about £50

Mods - I'll place an ad in the right section after all the suggestions have flooded in

    Cheers

I quite like Cambridge Audio stuff from Richers. Comes in a variety of thicknesses, I currently use the Symphony 400, it is cost effective, well constructed and sounds good at its price point.
One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.

As the rear speakers are mainly fill in sound, something like QED 79 strand should be fine. You really don't need expensive cable, just something with a suitable quality copper and a large enough CSA for the length.

Yeh CageyH, I agree but I'll probably get some 2.5mm OFC stuff. I know 10 metres/channel isn't that long for surround runs but it could always be useful for other purposes in the future. I've seen some 20 metre rolls going for about £20 so I might as well. I may even get amp ends terminated. Whoah!
