I set myself a limit of £100 per bottle, but tend to shop in the lower end of the market.
I think whisky is like HiFi, and the law of diminishing returns kicks in.
Probably the nicest bottle I ever bought was a 23 year old Bowmore, single cask bottling. Very smooth, but that has long gone.
Oh, the peat monster is pretty awful stuff. I can’t seem to give it away. I may up serving it with coke.
