With succulent rich berry fruit flavours, this sumptuous wine is silky textured, with a complex round palate, fine-grained tannins, and excellent concentration.
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet franc grape.
13% ABV, £10 a bottle (reduced from £15 in Waitrows)

A very smooth dram Grant, with a touch of fruity sweetness, was very easy to drinkthe 15 is maybe their best; certainly the best buy i think..
so 12 was a fruity bourbon then..

2018 Château Roquegrave, Médoc
Château Roquegrave is a family owned estate, comprising 30 hectares of vineyards planted on a high plateau with a commanding view of the Gironde estuary. With an average age of 25 years, the vines are carefully tended by winemaker and owner Pierre Yves Joannon.
2018 was not expected to be a good year for Bordeaux, as many vineyards were caught out by the humid conditions of spring. Low yields and great summer weather right through to harvest, however, has ensured exceptional quality – "legends in the making" wrote RobertParker.com. So a rich, complex claret, crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a splash of Petit Verdot, all aged in fine French oak. A supple Bordeaux, worthy of its acclaim.
14% ABV About £15 a bottle

Trying the Isle of Raasay again tonight, a little bit smoke, very pleasant and another one of the young malts, at best 5 year old for me not as good as Ledaig or Ardnamurchan .
