interesting... when younger i used to like peated ones but my palate has changed and im more bourbon casked or sherry casked now.. a good sherried being my fav. although nice bourbon types done right can match them in their own way. that aberfeldy is rather good, although bottles are always slightly different not sure how its bottled.

I’m much the same like both sherry and bourbon, but also enjoy a bit of peat, a good whisky is a good whisky in my book. There are a lot of good ones out there, as a rule try to stick with , non chill filtered and no added colour.
