First time I have seen the 18. I have 2 bottles of the 21 because I like it so much .
Got the same lot. If I had the money I'd get a case of it,and stash it for Conner when he gets old enough to appreciate it.
How bad is your back, I have 3 bad disks in the lower so I know how it feels. Sucks.

    On the Bunnahbain,
Funny how that can be, The naked Grouse is like that ,let a little air get into the bottle and it seems to get better.
Air and time can befriend a youthful spirit.
It is a very nice whiskey for the money.

    Grant,
having a taste of the Classic Laddie ,I see why people like this bottle.
I can also understand why some don't.
It is very young, 50 ABV. so it seems very strong ,even after air has gotten to it . But add a couple drops of water from a pipet and suddenly you can smell the salt air of the sea, fruit, like green apple, grapes, lemon and wild flowers.
The taste is both sweet and bitter at the same time, hints of brine, tea and fruit.
This is that break out bottle, when you want something different.
BTW: Nosheen says it smells like nail polish remover, mustard and horseradish. That would be a tuff distillers note.

Not tried the laddie but heard its quite interesting.
Yes younger spirit I think because it's not done all its reacting in wood and air in cask will react and open in air where older ones will do so less, in general. But even some old ones improve. Often by purging some of the alcohol on nose etc, a bit like water can

I picked up these to day.
A bottle of glen Grant 12 and a bottle made to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Morton's steak house a very expensive restaurant.
These bottles where sold for $100.00 at Morton's then Covid 19 happened and they did not accept shipment of the next lot.
They where bought out by a local liquor store and I got one.
It is an odd blend of different age whiskeys on the label.
It must be good or Morton's would never let their name be on the label.
