Grant, nice job on the shelf!
    You filled it already too.
I have been looking at Glenfarclas , I can get that here , would you get the 15 year, or a 14 year Glenmorangie ?
I've not seen the cask strength GF here yet.
I could stand to learn some about scotch, seems distillers have broken out from tradition a little and everyone is trying something new.
I opened that inexpensive peat bomb large small valley , It's not the most refined, It's like adding alcohol to an ashtray and pouring it into a bottle.
Ralfy says you cant fully appreciate good whisky with out keeping a bottle or two of terrible whisky around . It's the fastest way to show someone the difference .
So I won't pour it down the drain.

James, open that bottle and sip it remembering your father!
This is how it can still be his gift.

Only morange 14 I've tried is quinta ruban.. It's a port finish and lovely.
Farclas 15.is heavily sherried. Suppose its down to which finish you want. Both good whisky and sure you'll like them.. Is go the farclas way overall.

OK, ill bite the Deanston is a Highland?
I opened the Redbreast Lustau last night and honestly, I like the 12 year cask strength a little more.

Not tried the cask strength. I like the 12 a bit better than the lustau.
Deanston is indeed a Highland malt technically.. It's not far from Stirling so it's not far into the region tho.
Glenrothes distillery is up at Rothes which is in Speyside region but pretty far north. It sometimes gets confused with the town of glenrothes which is in Fife quite low down near the forth.
