Suppose these are jam jar ish now u mention it. They are an Italian take on the old fashioned cocktail glass, and fairly similar to the early 19th c glasses. Old fashioned was the first ever cocktail and its still very good

2013 Chateau Fourcas Hostein, Listrac Médoc

60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot grape, 12% ABV Approx £20 a bottle

Worth laying down for a couple of years.

    2018 Chateau du Plantier, Bordeaux

CEPAGE : 49 % Merlot - 7% Cabernet Franc - 44% Cabernet Sauvignon. ROBE : Belle robe rouge rubis. BOUCHE : La bouche est ronde et bien équilibrée. NEZ : Le nez est agréable, sur les fruits frais.

13.5% ABV. Difficult to quote a price, as this was a gift from a visitor from Switzerland, but in the region of €8 -10 a bottle. Cheaper in France where it is only about €4 a bottle.(!)

Can't tell you how this wine tastes as my partner drank it, but she thought it pleasant enough.
