This Co-op Casablanca Valley Pinot Noir is an absolute steal at just £7.99!!

Weighing in at 14% vol, it's a substantial wine that has real depth to it and a lovely touch of chocolate on the finish.

I've had a couple of bottles of this beauty and will be going back for more.

    Are you talking about the
2011 Château Chantemerle, Médoc Cru Bourgeois, and the
2012 Château Grand-Pey-Lescours, St. Émilion Grand Cru?

Well actually I did buy a couple of bottle of each, but I’ve not opened them yet - they will be a private pleasure for the New Year.

I omitted to mention the ‘whites’ we drank. I’ll correct this now:

    Les Ruettes Sancerre

    http://www.marksandspencer.com/les-r...ee4890a87c3122

    12.5% ABV from Marks & Spencer £14 a bottle

    and

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico

12% ABV from Tesco at £5.50 a bottle

Yes, those were the chaps. Let me know what you think of them, when slurped!
