    Good choice, mate. VR should be rather dark in colour and full of fresh berry fruits! If you like that, also look out for Primitivo or Passimento/Appassimento (especially from the Puglia region of Italy), which have a similar rounded style, but with a bit more 'weight'

    Primitivo, Negroamaro and Nero D'Avola would all be good red grape varieties for you.

    However, this time she took me to a local retailer where I picked up a Tullibardine 15, and a bottle of Santa Ana gin, which originates from the Dom Papa distillery.
