    I'm ROGER.

    Default Hello from South Oxfordshire...

I've been into this hifi lark for as long as I can remember, and know a fair few names on here from various forums.
Current gear (prone to change quite regularly!) Amps; David Wright integrated, Copland csa29, Clones Audio 25i. Speakers; Kef 105/3, 47 Labs lens, and a pair of homemade Jordan Eikona dcr + Arcam D33 dac.
    Roger.

    Hi Roger. Welcome to AOS.

That's an unusual and interesting selection of equipment you have there.

Tell us what music you like and if you have any further plans for your system.

Feel free to join in with the chat. The members are friendly.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Hi Roger!

    Nice to see you here.

My gosh - you've got rid of the AudioNote E speakers?
I well remember them from when I collected that Chapter Audio amp from you!
You were madly/deeply in lurv with them, if I recall correctly.

I've heard quite a few Es and yours were very distinctive sounding - you'll be hard pressed to find another pair quite like them, I suspect.

Hi Jerry, in replying to your post I seem to have managed to have deleted my second post !
I'll get the hang of this new technology eventually...
Yes they were the spx-he ones with the silver voice coils and blue hemp drivers, quite rare to find them s/h but I live in hope.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
