    I'm Paul.

    Default Paul Hynes Power Supplies

    Price list current 17/03/12.

All products are custom built to order.

The prices below are my prices for power supply and module upgrades for the Technics SL1200/SL1210. AoS forum members. If you are an AoS forum member I have agreed with Marco, the owner of the forum that, for power supplies specifically for the Technics SL1200/SL1210, you can have a 10% discount on these prices.

These power supplies can also be customised to upgrade power supplies for a wide variety of audio equipment where different voltage and current parameters can be specified. For example : Caiman DAC, Squeezebox (SB3, Duet, Touch), Altmann DAC, Weiss and M2Tech products, Computer audio server power supplies, hard drives and add on soundcards etc. The SR7 is also available in a multi-rail version (all rails galvanically isolated to prevent ground loop interaction between individual items of equipment). I like to discuss customer’s application requirements to ensure I can offer a correctly specified power supply upgrade solution and I can quote prices for your application once this specification has been achieved. The SL1200 power supply upgrade prices below can be used as a guide but prices may vary with customisation.

SR3-21 series 2 £180 (while PCB stocks last)
    SR3-21 series 3 £270
    DC3C OFC DC lead £035

    SR5-21/27 £525
    DC5C OFC DC lead £045

SR7EHD-21/27 £650 (with silver plated XLR DC connector)
SR7EHD-21/27 £680 (with XL low impedance DC connector)
    DC7C OFC DC lead £045

All DC leads terminated with silver plated 4 pin XLR at the power supply end.

DC7CXL fine silver DC lead £082 (with silver plated XLR typically 3 milliohm)
DC7CXL fine silver DC lead £112 (with XL low impedance connector > 1 milliohm)

All DC lead prices are for 1 metre lengths.

External PSU regulator module for DIY power supply assembly and internal regulator upgrades for the SL1200 (the regulator module used in the SR7 is not available as a DIY module)

PR3iTD £100 (This external PSU upgrade module is used in the SR5)
TDR21 dual 21 volt regulator module £160 (Internal upgrade)
S1709v4LN regulator module £036 (Internal upgrade)
Z1705LN regulator module £036 (Internal upgrade)

Insured carriage and packing is extra and will be quoted for the delivery address on request. The 10% discount does not apply to shipping costs.

All of my products are custom built to order. Orders are placed in the build schedule on receipt of cleared funds. Under normal circumstances the build schedule lead-time is currently 25 to 30 working days for SR3 power supplies and the DIY modules. The SR5 and SR7 power supply lead-time is currently between 36 to 48 working days. Circumstances beyond my control can affect lead times, for example materials procurement may have variable lead times from suppliers if out of stock at time of ordering.

Payment can be via PayPal by sending funds, with 3.4% added to cover the Paypal fees, to paul@paulhynesdesign.com in GBP. Please remember to include details of what you are ordering and ensure that a delivery address is also included. Alternatively payment can be by bank transfer, adding £6 for the Barclays processing fee, or in the UK over the counter at any branch of Barclays, or via the “Fast Payment” bill payment scheme that some banks now operate in the UK, with no additional fees. If this method of payment is chosen I will forward details of the bank collection account to enable payment.

My worldwide guarantee covers parts and labour for three years from receipt of goods, subject to correct application, and is transferable should you decide to re-sell at a later date. I also give a 30 day, return if not satisfied with product performance guarantee. This allows a reasonable burn in period before appraisal.

Order cancellations before shipping. Occasionally I get customers who request cancellation of their orders. The reasons are usually that their financial position has changed or they have changed their equipment and my product is no longer required. This is custom build and very different from buying items “off the shelf” so I have to apply some conditions to orders to ensure I do not suffer financially from order cancellations. In principal, under these circumstances I am happy to issue a refund, however as I have usually begun the preparation work for the order, and ordered and paid for the materials for the order, enough time should be allowed for the transfer of the order to another customer to occur. This is because the materials for the order have already been paid for to action the materials order and it is unfair to expect me to carry this financial burden because your circumstances have changed. Generally custom products are re-sold relatively quickly so you should not have to wait too long for a refund. Some custom-built projects, however, are a different matter, as these can be highly specialised, and potentially difficult to sell on to another customer. For this reason I cannot guarantee to issue a refund for every custom built product, although I will make an effort to sell them on, thus allowing a refund. I am sorry that I have to apply these conditions to orders but I am no longer prepared to fund refunds from my normal cash flow, as this can be very disruptive if more than one occurs in the same month. I think the conditions are fair in the circumstances and most of my customers will never require a refund. If you place an order it will be assumed that you have read these terms and conditions and that you agree to them as part of the order contract. If you do not accept these conditions then do not place any orders.

If I can be of further help let me know.

    Regards
    Paul

I think at some point, mate, you should seriously think about sinking some funds into a Techy project. It's destined to happen...!

With the type of music you listen to, and a lot of it being available brand new on vinyl, especially 12" singles, trust me, you'd be blown away by how gob-smackingly amazing it sounds on a modded Techy!!

You'd love a shop, called 'Rub a Dub', in Glasgow, which Snapper and me go to: http://www.rubadub.co.uk/catalogsear...ords&x=11&y=12

I always top up my dance and ambient vinyl collection, when I visit that place

One SR5 trade-in now sold, one left. This should go quickly so if you are considering this I would suggest you act before it goes.

Smart move for something like this at that price Kevin, would have done so myself without hesitation but had already committed to a different power supply which I've just received (these things never come up a the right time ) Surprised it has remained available for so long - Enjoy !
P.S- Let us all know how you get on with yours. I'll be reporting on mine once I've installed which wont be til latter part of next week due to other pressing commitments.
