I'm looking for any thoughts and advice regarding the Michell Transcriptor turntable. I know very little about them, are they any good or are they all show and no go so to speak. I know they are getting on a bit and quite pricey for a good one but I've got an itch to investigate the possibilities of restoring one and at the end of the day is it worth it sound wise or should I just forget about it.

Ask 'hi-fi dave', he has a couple.

AFAIK they do look good, but question the support of the record in only seven places. They're belt drives, but I don't know how they compare with more recent offerings.

Good enough for Stanley Kubrik though ...!
