    Default Introduction

    Hello All,
I listen to mostly classical, some jazz and anything that comes highly recommended by friends.
I've had many systems over the years which I have enjoyed immensely.
I'm recently upgraded my vinyl front end to a Nottingham Analogue Ace Spacedeck
and am looking at a new cartridge and phono, currently using an old MF X-LPS.

    CD Audiolab 8200CDQ
    Amp Puresound 2A3
    Speakers Heco Direkt

    Best.

Welcome Colin, read a few very good reviews on the Heco s look, and sound good I should imagine. Classical music on vinyl is just the best ,I think. Enjoy the forum

    Hi Colin. Welcome to AOS.

Nice turntable you've bought. What cartridges do you have in mind. MC maybe?

Tell us if you have any other plans for your system.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Thanks for the welcome Geoff, regarding the cartridge's I had a few in mind but have just agreed to buy a secondhand Benz Wood SL
from 'Ammonite Acoustics' which he mentioned in a thread on this forum.
I can't wait to try it as it is a good match for my arm.

    Colin.

I heard the Heco's at the last Hifi News show in Windsor last year and again last week at a small event put on in Bordon, Hants by Hifi Hangar. I am sure they are capable of very good sound, unfortunately the stuff they were playing on both occasions was dire and gave one no indication of their strengths or weaknesses. Why is it that I look at them and think Fiat 500?
