Middle of nowhere? Not really, Martin, from where you are. Last year I drove there from Steve Toy's place in Rugeley in about an hour and a half... It's actually quite a nice run
Personally, I'd rather venues like that than ones in city centres, when parking can be an absolute nightmare - and then you've got to walk for bloody miles to get to where you're going!
At Scalford Hall, you can park your car right outside the hotel (if you get there early enough), or at worst very near it, and thus it's hassle-free.
It's a beautiful place inside too, and gives the show a very pleasant vibe
