It looks like a great venue but why are these things always held in the middle of nowhere? I will do my best to attend as would be great to meet everyone and listen to some 'high end'
Oh and the free beer of course
Current Lash Up:
TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.
Middle of nowhere? Not really, Martin, from where you are. Last year I drove there from Steve Toy's place in Rugeley in about an hour and a half... It's actually quite a nice run
Personally, I'd rather venues like that than ones in city centres, when parking can be an absolute nightmare - and then you've got to walk for bloody miles to get to where you're going!
At Scalford Hall, you can park your car right outside the hotel (if you get there early enough), or at worst very near it, and thus it's hassle-free.
It's a beautiful place inside too, and gives the show a very pleasant vibe
Fancy coming, then?
Marco.

Yeah, I guess that I take a car for granted... I never use public transport.
If you're staying over the night before I'll be at the hotel, so nearer the time if you let me know when you're in Melton Mowbray station I'll pick you up and bring you to the hotel
Or... If I'm coming from Steve's place again (after picking up the gear he's going to demo at the show) I could meet you in Rugeley and we could go on together from there?
Just PM me your mobile number, and if you want we can hook up nearer the time
Marco.

Marco you could pick him up from Stoke on your way down or I could. The A50 from Stoke goes towards Pie Country.
Yeah public transport sucks - that's why I get taxis everywhere! Bit far for that though unless I hijack one! Thanks for the offer - much appreciated. I might book a couple of nights and make a (drinking) holiday of it... Only one I'll get this coming year I suspect

You might have to actually, thinking about it, because I'll have a van full of some rather large Tannoys (!), etc, and space might be at a premium... One way or another we can sort Martin out, though!
Way hey - sounds like a plan!I might book a couple of nights and make a (drinking) holiday of it...
However, if you want to do that you're going to have to let me know, like yesterday, so I can book you a room.
Marco.
