    I won't upset the audiophiles who will, quite rightly argue that their £2000 amp sounds better than something from Canford Audio which you could drop out of a plane and it still survive. It's a different target market and as Barry rightly says, broadcast equipment has to run 24/7.

    The full kit list is long with highlights including some super condenser microphones, outboard processing via some dbx units which I have love/hate relationship with and a pair of DN-951FA's - managed to get a pair of them before they were discontinued. They're a nightmare to maintain (the lasers are driven hard and are prone to failure as a result) mind you.

    Horses for courses in many ways... some pro gear such as mic pres and some outboard is popular precisely because it's so coloured! This is seen as part of the creative process.... which is another can of worms altogether!
