    Default Hello to all

My name is Mark and I live in Jersey.
My system consists of a Garrard 401 with SME 3012, Jean Marie Reynaud Offrande speakers and John Wood amps.

In respect of my music taste I mainly listen to 60's, 70's and 80's Rock, Folk and Blues.

I am looking to improve my existing Van Damme tonearm cable and would appreciate any advise you can offer.

    Best wishes
    Mark

    Hello Mark. Welcome to AOS.

I like your taste in equipment. The JMR Offrande speakers are beautiful.

Try starting a thread in the Analogue Arts section with your cable question. You should get some answers.

How about posting a few system photos in our Gallery. They'd be appreciated.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

    Welcome to AoS Mark.

Your speakers are entirely new to me - would love to see some pictures of them.

What is it about your tonearm cables that you don't like? Many people here are using Klotz MC5000 cables to good effect. Are you still using the 4-pin plug and socket on your SME 3012 arm, or have you had it replaced by a pair or RCA phono sockets?

    Hello Barry,
Thanks for the welcome. In answer to your question I should have said that the 4-pin plug on my SME arm has been replaced with RCA phono sockets.

In respect of my Van Damme tonearm cable I would just like to try something else to see if there is any improvement to be gained, my view is that unless I try something else I will never know if I'm missing out on something.

I will look to post some photos of my system in a short while.

    Best wishes
    Mark
