Might I resurrect this thread? What is the character of these speakers? Looking for something less boxy/bright than my AN Js.

If boxiness is the enemy, Quad ESL 57s might be worth a go. Granted they are a bit on the wide side, but Alan Firebottle suspends his from the ceiling, and they sound great
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

How do they feel about Mark E Smith sullying their bottom ends?

Incredible imaging and soundstage, superb transparency and great sound from rfc impulse taus. If you Google YouTube you can hear mine. Many of the h6 have now had the rfc treatment. Well worth buying if you can

Think they might be too big for my room.

    From what I've heard (H2 and H6) I don't think they'd improve your situation.

The ones I heard were. If all depends on synergy I'm sure as always, but it shows they can do. From what you have said you want something a little V shaped if anything, which these are not.
