    I'm Clive.

Default So many Ifs & Buts.......

Now that I've a Cyrus DAC XP Signature here at Clive towers, I've come across a bit of a dilemma when it comes to connecting to my Cyrus Mono X300 Signature power amps.

I have been using a Chord Indigo Tuned Aray RCA-RCA interconnect which is a very high level cable. I also own a pair of Chord Chameleon Silver Plus XLR-XLR Interconnects.

My original plan was to connect the Cameleon as well as the Indigo and switch between the 2 but that's not really a fair comparison is it, or is it? Do XLR interconnects sound better than RCA in this instance. Cyrus say that the XP is a fully balanced design, will that influence the comparison?

So many ifs and buts........... What have you guys found? Have you compared within your own systems?

If ? you have the types on hand. Just try 'em.
What it sounds like in YOUR ears is all that matters.
A more definitive test IMO is to use a setup for a week or so then switch.
First/initial impressions are The most valid ones .. 10/15 mins later and one's brain has adapted.

ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down
