Just trying it through a pair of cheap speakers and the speakers main are working and remote but theirs a low level hum...Originally Posted by struth

It will most probably be the power supply reservior caps.. a pair of 10,000uF/50v caps are easy enough to source..The amp needs recapping anyway..
