Hi All,
I just thought I would post a quick update now that I have had a chance to really listen to the new twenty5.23′s, basically they are pretty special, hard to put into words really but they are extremely agile and delicate with fantastic separation and clarity whilst staying musical with powerful and controlled bass, they just seem so effortless, you can almost feel them breath if that makes sense, they really remind me of a panel speaker in their speed and clarity but with a warmth that can sometimes be missing from an electrostatic, PMC certainly seem to have pulled a trick where the cabinet has disappeared.
I have just had a customer in who has OB1i’s and he said that the twenty25.23′s are a clear step up from them and that is saying something with the OB’s being a 3 way design and the 23′s being a 2 way.
PMC really seem to have made big strides with this new range, I often wondered if they could improve on the original Twenty’s as they are so good but they most definitely have, the new Laminair technology PMC have developed really seems to have helped free up the overall presentation.
Just makes me want to hear the new 26’s now :-)
Anyway back to listening.
Cheers,
Paul.
