    Failed to find any info on this but I did see a sx 300. Like Pioneer stuff from that time; had some good designers and build quality was usually pretty good. 6 or 7 watts will be fun

    Silicon not germanium. I have a mint Trio FM tuner from the top of their range in sixties which is a hybrid, valves in FM tunerhead (including a nuvistor), the rest germanium transistors.

    It is indeed a TK-500. It's the only one I've ever seen.... I believe it had only a short time in us before a transistor in the IF strip failed and it was then stored for donkeys years before I got it and repaired it.
