I used to have a young and attractive client, she was awfully propper. There was a big rush up to Christmas and I was trying to organise our workload, not wanting to miss anythining before the company shut down for Christmas. I emailed this client saying.
"Hi Pippa, I'm desperately trying to get my dick in a row, can you look at the list attached and let me know if I've missed something"
It was my wife who picked up the mistake, but it was be who had to rectify things .

Richly deserved for using such appalling business-speak cliches in the first place. Bet you had to do a bit of blue-skies out of the box thinking to get out of that one!

I dont use e mail that much for work , but text a lot because I can let people know things or ask questions , as I think about it , as I go about the farm work.
Now , I dont get the bow wave of text jokes I used to get ,but a few yrs ago I had a joke that went something like -'A survey says that 1 out of ten people who are overweight , have a higher iq than such and such (can t recall the first bit ) The punch line was 'So pop yourself on the scales you fat bastard ,and let me know what you weigh ' !! I always recall that bit .
Sent it to a very posh chap up our road ,I deal with , by mistake (I harrow his wifes grass bits for her hoss) . I never send him jokes.
Must have included his number somehow ,because I got a text back saying 'I know I am '!!

He never mentioned it the next time I was up there

I only ride 'em, I don't know what makes 'em work

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
