I've read quite a few, but this one, Lucky You is the best so far. It would make a great movie.

I started reading Cormack McCarthy's 'Cities of The Plains' last night. His direct and gritty style strikes you immediately, as does the lack of punctuation. I get the impression this will be a memorable read. If it gets near his amazing 'The Road', it will be unforgettable.

Just started reading Indurain by Alasdair Fotheringham. A biography of the cyclist Miguel Indurain, my cycling hero. It was him and Laurent Fignon that got me interested in cycling all those years ago.
Enjoying it so far. For a long time there didn't appear to be any books about him apart from Indurain: A Tempered Passion, which was a terrible book. This popped up in one of these we recommend emails from Amazon I received recently.

    I do enjoy Bernard Cornwell.

Dear old Uhtred is thick as anything.

But I have bought me Christmas book. War Lord.

Uhtred versus the Danes and the Scots. Can't wait for the outcome.
