More seriously, I prefer reading about stuff I'm interested in on the net or watching it on TV, in the form of a film or documentary. I get bored rather quickly reading books, especially if it involves subjects considered as 'high brow'!

Nicely written military space opera. For those that like the Lost Fleet books by Jack Campbell.

I'm having a break from serious reading and am working my way through a bunch of 1920's detective novels I borrowed from the library just before Christmas. Currently reading 'The Noose' by Philip MacDonald.

    Axiom by Sebastian Ives.
The author used to work with my wife and the book was published via a crowd funding organisation for unpublished authors.
It's a post apocalypse scifi novel, I'm only two chapters in and it looks quite promising with hints of Hunger Games about it.
    Shameless plug for the book-

Currently binge-reading Iain Sinclair. Have re-read 'Lights Out For The Territory'. 'London Orbital' and 'Lud Heat/Suicide Bridge'. About to start 'Rodinsky's Room'.
