    Thanks guys.
My favorite Ry Cooder albums are "Into The Purple Valley" and "Paradise and Lunch".

    They're pretty folk-countryish, but with a pinch of R&B.

Any YES album featuring the great Steve Howe. He uses a Fender pedal steel guitar with lots of overdrive. Absolute bliss.

I'd say Keb Mo and Ry Cooder, also Albert Ray? if that's the guy I'm thinking off. You tube is always a help.

A couple of different sides to Rory Gallagher with bottleneck

Duane Allman has been mentioned previously who plays slide on the album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominoes which is well worth checking out - he plays slide guitar on the title track.

Joe Bonamassa does the odd bit of slide guitar too. His solo on "One Of These Days" is gorgeous.

What albums should I be looking at for more great slide guitar?

    Cheers
Try this... Herbie Mann with Duane Allman. One of my all-time favorites.
