I'm Stuart.
We have seven, four of them in everyday use. Have never tired of tape, nor had any of the issues with the medium: proper service and deck maintenance, optimum cassette storage and full winding to the end sees to it. Just like the technology. Maybe a demag now and again, isopropyl cleansing and blank tapes from BASF, Denon, Maxell, Sony TDK, TEAC and That's help too.
