    Default cartridge alignment help/tips

hi, the S's are sounding sibilant/scratchy on certain records, its a new needle, i was wondering if it might be an alignment problem. i didnt notice it before but i recently tried a different cart and since i swapped back ive noticed the sibilance, any advice is appreciated.
    cheers, mike.

Could be. Might be wear. Or that you just got used to the sound of the other cartridge.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

It's possible of course. Is the VTA (vertical tracking angle) right. If it's wrong, that can cause sibilance.

Whats the cartridge and arm? Some are harder to set up than others (indeed some are barely adjustable).

Clearaudio Alignment took or a Dr Frieckert protractor will sort it out in no time.

Worn stylus's don't just become sibilant over night. If it was ok before you changed cartridges back and forth you should certainly look to the set up.
