Obviously if that is not the case then I would want to apologise profusely.
I may stand to be corrected Sandy, but I think Shaun was just making a generalisation and not aiming his words at you. Hence my following post.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I've never been a recipient of flak on other forums, and have enjoyed some of the more robust humorous exchanges here. Of course if you want to make an issue of it then I'll fetch my handbag... Lucky for you I'm not allowed out tonight...

Grounded due to alleged non completion of so called essential domestic tasks, drinking beer and playing loud music.
But yes, not allowed out at full moon either...

Hi Box. Why don't you start a thread in the Blank Canvas area and tell us about the system you have?

We like to know what equipment members are using .

Thanks Shaun, I am just aware that I can get the wrong end of many sticks, and that my attempts at humour does not always come over in texts, e-mails etc.
I do enjoy my visits here...

As coincidence would have it I bought an amplifier today. The Teac AX5000, second hand from a friend of a friend, over the phone too.. I hate black, but he assured me I would love it once I heard it and he settled for £33:00.
I intend it to be the heart of a system I am putting together in my studio.
To think I nearly bought a Roksan Kandy in blue for £465:00, off an internet site; I was tempted and then the Teac came along.
What are your feelings on Black gear?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
