    I'm Robert.

    Default Hello from Michigan, USA.

    Hello everyone,

I have been gathering audio equipment for some time now and I have some decent old stuff. My main interest is in turntables and I own several of them. I've been working on a turntable project for a couple of years now, gathering parts and add ons. The turntable is a Technics SP-10 MK2 and it has been rebuilt/refurbished. The tone arm is a Dynavector DV-505. It's in nice condition and has been rewired. I have several cartridges for it but the current one is a Win Labs SDT-10.2 strain gauge system. The Win Labs strain gauge cartridge is interesting and produces a linear sound without the use of RIAA equalization. This turntable is a work in progress.

    Best wishes to everyone here.

    Hello Robert
You have walked into the right hotel:
    Turntables - check
    Technics - check
    Working Project - check
You are going to post some photos - (hopefully check!)

A well fettled SP 10 is a dream. We have a good Technics community here, albeit with the more popular 1200 / 1210 series.
We also have member 6L6 from Denver who has ongoing projects with two (!) SP10s.

    Hello Robert. Welcome to AOS.

Tell us what music you listen to and tell us about the rest of your system.

As Al says, some photos would be welcome. There is a Gallery section for these.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Welcome to AoS Robert,

Wow, a Technics SP10 woth the Dynavector DV 505 arm - that is some combination!

Would be interested in learning more about your Win Labs strain gauge cartidge: I assume you have to use it with a dedicated power supply?

Looking forward to seeing some photos.

    Enjoy the Forum

    Regards
    Barry
