Well, at the moment my totally uneducated guess is that the repair needed to get the amps going is trivial, possibly no more than a loose wire, based on what Charlie has communicated.
But I have suggested to Alan Firebottle that he might look at a bit of upgrade-fettling to get even more sonic performance out of it, and the expense of that if it happens should come out of my own wallet.

Only you can know what feels right to you Jerry ---- personally I do not think it would be unreasonable to use some of the sale funds to pay for your upgrades ( assuming they do not constitute a complete rebuild with silver wiring etc lol !) with the rest going to charity - as you have had a fair degree of inconvenience, and I happen to know you are a very decent fellow based on our dealings ---- I would also say I am genuinely pleased that both parties come out of this well in the end - its does restore confidence ----- not all forums would have acted so pro actively - I know this from experience as I was sold a complete pup by someone who did a runner and whilst the forum moderators were sympathetic nothing was done to help -- but that's my stuff (!) ..... in short I'm pleased for you and follow your own conscience --- ultimately no one else' matters ..... and the Atoll is a nice amp to boot !!

Trust and camaraderie amongst the AoS community is of paramount importance. It's something we strive very hard to maintain: good guys dealing with good guys. Charlie responded very positively to the email I sent him, so all's well that ends well

Having pondered the situation yesterday I have become increasingly uncomfortable with me getting both amps, Charlie. That goes way beyond what is reasonable, in my opinion.

As per the email I sent you, let's just leave things as they are now. I'll keep the Myst and I am sure Alan can sort out any wiring issues for me. You keep the Atoll.
    Sorted.
    That OK?
