    Hi David, cavernous bass huh I bet your TT doesn't like 15Hz or lower... It'd get in a bit of a flap Just remember that CD can do 1HZ if it's there (speakers might not though ) as the response is damn near to DC...

    Nice format though, looks very tidy indeed

    I dare not admit that my 401 arseholes the techy in the bass dept.!

    I'm sure it'd do even better fed by a pure 50HZ 240V AC source rather than UK mains which does vary in frequency

    I do have a 50hz Regenerator somewhere I built to power a 401. 50hZ Wein Bridge into a chip amp.

    That'd do with a transformer

    Might need a decent sized capacitor on the primary to eliminate any DC offset problems & DC current draw, but it sounds good.
    The published design I started with had caps in the output, but without using large values I was loosing a lot of power in them. It had a split rail supply, and I added a servo to keep the output at 0v, so it ended up driving it directly if I remember.
