    Hi Chris,

It is a simplest chain - from TC765 directly into my heavily modified RME Digi 96/8 PAD. No processing. The tape is very good for its age and TC765 sounds very good too. I have few more 7.5 ips pre-recorded reels and about 20 at 3.75 ips speed, some of these surprisingly good. I am not uploading full tracks as I am not sure about copyright issues - only fragments as samples.

DaveK - It appears that many people were trying to download this file so my provider couldn't cope - yesterday it was over 1.2 GB of downloads. Please try again, if it fails I can send the file on a CD, just PM me your address. Another option would be to put it on RapidShare.

    Hi Alex,
Thanks for that - I'll be a little more persistant and if I still get continually bounced out I'll be back in touch.
    Cheers,
    DaveK.

    My System:
Power: Belkin PF40, Custom.hifi.cables Hydra and DC PSUs.
Sources: Self built HTPC with Xonar ST sound card, NAD T585 multi disc player, Sony BDP-S350, Squeezebox Touch, Techncs SL1210 (mod'd) + Nagaoka MP30, Thomson Sky HD box.
    Amps etc.: 2 x Mini-T amps, MF-X10D Valve buffer clone, StanDAC 7520/Caiman (mod'd).
Speakers: Mission 774s with added super tweeters
Cables: best I can afford and likely to change except Homar's RF attenuated co-ax's and Mark Grant USB and HDMI cables. I also like silver i/cs and speaker cable.

    Hi Alex,
Thanks for the RapidShare link, it worked perfectly. The Satchmo track is great - very enjoyable - keep up the good work.
    Cheers,

I've removed the file from my site and left it only on RapidShare.

Here is another example - the same song played back on two different R2R decks. Original pre-recorded reel from 60-s, slow 3.75 ips speed.

    Deck 1

    Deck 2

Each file is about 42 Mb, zipped WAV, 96 kHz 24 bit mono.
