If anyone hopes to see either Harriet or La Belle Epoque at the cinema, better not daly as it looks like their runs may only be for one week. May not apply in your area, but both are being pushed out by films such as Frozen II, Charlie's Angels, Last Christmas and Knives Out around here?

Joker however is still going, I think it's now in it's 8th week . . . bums on seats I guess, but it is a good film.

I fancy going to see this, as it's lauded as somewhat of a classic... https://www.picturehouses.com/movie-...c19ff&cinema=0

    Anyone here seen it?

Lol - perhaps not mine either, but I like the Italian angle, and the opening scene is suitably moody/atmospheric to hook me:

Plus, Claudia Cardinale is rather easy on the eye!

It's an outstanding film Marco and along with La Dolce Vita, arguably Fellini's best two films.

However, knowing what you normally like I wouldn't bet more than 50p that you'll enjoy it - but you never know?

A truly classic film from a classic director. If you like surrealism you should definitely see it.
    What’s not to like?

I've seen it, along with most of Fellini's output. If you like 'Art-house' cinema then this is for you, but personally I don't think it to be his best. I prefer 'Amaracord', 'La Strada', 'Juliet of the Spirits' and the afore-mentioned 'La Dolche Vita'.

Sounds almost French, for a shower! Was that the 'arty' bit?

Noted on the rest. I just fancied a total departure from my usual fare.

Well you'll get that for sure Marco.

I like it's total bizarreness in places, like Monty Python from an alternate universe. For a film made in the early 60s it's ahead of it's time and I find it strangely compelling - a very quirky soundtrack in places too.
