One of the legends of a great industry. Peace, health and luck to you good sir. I have heard many of your designs over the years and loved every one. Like many others i only hope that your circumstances change and you return to doing what you do best, designing and building statements.

Hi Colin. How are you keeping? I believe you had some problems a while ago. Hope you're OK.

I am recovering I can tell as I am getting bored silly. Thanks Geoff.
    How are things with you?

I got bored recovering from more hospital holidays so I was interviewed by Howard at Hi-fi Answers by e-mail.
He has encouraged me to write a tiny bit even with my poor spelling and crap grammar.

So I will be describing a K.I.S.S. design non techy A Class amp, SECA design based on the TOCA and additional circuits to be added later to improve performance.

The Technical DIYer out there will find it simply others may not but I do hope all have fun and enjoyment in making them.

So comments please. (not to rude)

I'm OK Colin. I'm just a bit bored myself being retired (and not as flush as I was).

    I've heard the term, but I don't know what a K I S S amp is. Although I do understand what Class A does. I use such.

I'm no tech wiz, but can get my head around most things. It'll be interesting to hear/see what you are planning.

We as designers tend to make things too complex, take remote controls and other digital lies.
We cramp into our Audio now days far too much and the costs are crazy.
    For example:-
    Chassis 50%
    Digital control logic 10%
    Digital lies 20%
    PSU 10%
Audio Analog 10% and this is the bit we want to produce the artists and musicians we love, and to have them play in our homes. So why do we put all the other crap in and create audio junk?

My plan as always been to build to K.I.S.S. OK the chassis will cost a lot but I can now spend on the analog audio side including the very important PSU.

So K.I.S.S, is Keep It Simply Stupid

So now ask yourselves do you need a toaster with a micro in it NO, I still like toast but not with added logic.
