    I paid £12 for my seventies RS-212. That included the Goldring G99 in plinth that it was mounted on. Boot sale purchase quite a while ago, but it was still a bargain back then.

    Very odd - as you say, I've never heard the SMEV described as a low mass arm though it will be compared to this. Considering they make such a play of effective mass it seems doubly strange that they don't state what it is for this design!
