I know, it's really odd isn't it? The only thing I can suggest is that something on the motherboard isn't operating correctly although quite what that might be is baffling. I'd like to try another mobo in the machine to determine if this is the case but frankly it isn't worth it as I intend to upgrade the entire machine shortly. For now I will just have to continue reversing the RCA plugs out of the DAC whenever I want to watch a film...
Incidentally the same problem is present when I connect the DAC to the PC with a USB cable.

Can you elaborate on that? Are the videos on the pc? Is audio from YouTube correct?
Ah, you just mentioned films. Do you play a film directly from a built in DVD player? Or is it ripped? Could something be wrong with the rip settings?

I have used it and it solved problems for me.
I suggest that it's best to just do one repair at a time, not tick all the boxes to repair everything at once.
