I've asked this question before but haven't had an answer, I suspect in part because there's no such thing as a single UK voltage when it comes down to individual location. I've measured my mains peaking at 245v which would be over 10% higher than this spec, suggesting that these amps would be running hot, shortening their lifespan or worse. My guess is that if your mains did run at the published 230v "standard" it would be OK but the variation that you experience makes it a gamble. But I'm no expert so will await someone who is...
