The height of my dad's listening (at least at the height of my embarrassed-adolescent phase) was a tape of Shep's Banjo Boys in his Ford Capri ... claimed to be a jazz lover but didn't like 'that modern stuff' basically anything conceptually after about 1928 ... of course the British trad jazz revival was what he grew up into.
