    Was a bit of a bidding war on this Quad 34 pre-amp. It sold for £261, a sight more than I'd pay, even for a tidy late one like this.

    A 34 paired with a 306 ended at £340 plus postage just a wee while earlier

    Collectible ? Bit of overpriced junk that’s been hanging around at that price for a while. It’s certainly mono era, not even sure that’s a proper 301.

    The work required to get an acceptable sound from that would be considerable. Of course there is a ‘collector’ mindset that might be interested but ... nine grand ?
