    My Quad II's are in far better condition than those two pairs. What I had not realized is that the GEC Marconi KT66's are worth a fair bit by themselves.

    The 405 is not bad if one replaces the original op amp with at least the op amp from the 405-2, costs peanuts.

    I bought my 405 new when they first came out, did not like it, sat on the shelf unused for years until I fitted the later op amp, transformation.
