Dubious Tannoy Red 15" units are up for sale again. I wonder why they didn't sell last time? Seeing as the bids were up to £4500. Did the buyer spot something fishy?

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I've a strong feeling Bakabunghippo (the seller) is a well known and trusted seller/trader in the traditional world of hifi, ex-BBC with many of those types of contacts. Pretty sure it's the same guy who has/had a big stand at the Tonbridge Audiojumble twice a year (though I haven't been for about 5 years). So they're likely ok on that basis not that I'd encourage spending that sort of money without fully checking such doubts out!

    Here's a new ruse!

VINTAGE AUDIO HIFI FUSE - err, an old common house fuse that might have come out of the plug from some hifi, perhaps.

If you miss it, don't worry, the seller has another MK 3A "Vintage Audio Hifi Fuse".

Now, if we can get the right forum threads going, we can create demand for vintage fuses which have only had audio mains going through and therefore have been conditioned correctly for amazing results!

Or the buyer was sufficiently discerning to think he'd been rather lead up the garden path by the listing. Or very sensibly bought the Reds in the boxes by that nice Mr Lockwood instead...

Good pics, followed by a good description of the speaker. Good one, Ken.
