Bloody hell, One of those was my first system. Never seen one for sale.
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

cashconverters rather than ebay, Marantz PM6005 for £138 delivered. Seems a good price for a well reviewed amp.

Meridian 507 CD player offered at £1300. I can't work this out?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2818686500...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

They were £1200 new. I know 'cos that's what I paid when I bought mine new from Audio T in 2003.

Going price for a good 507 is maybe £550 to £700 I reckon (they are rather nice).
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

As heard recently at Cranage and Whittlebury. Ex dem and a big saving on the list price. Still more than I could spend, though
