    I had one of these or very similar. very solid cabinet on it but way more than its worth imo.

    Not these days Grant. The going price for a clean and complete GL78 bare TT unit is around £90 to £120 these days. Marginally less than the slightly more desirable, but no more capable GL75. Prices have been zooming lately. Justifiably one could say. They are great turntables that offer outstanding sound quality and have been much underestimated for a very long time. They also have a huge upgrading potential, which as you'll know, I'm in the process of showing.
