Pioneer PD-S505 Precision CD player. Less than a day to go and only bid to £46 so far. Could be a bargain. These sound lovely, I've got two and they sound as nice as my Meridian 507 that cost nearly thirty times as much.

JBL 4410s in a neglected but saveable state. Assuming the drivers are ok - and there's enough spares included to be confident of getting one good set out of them all - these can be restomodded into very serious speakers. I restored a pair a few years ago to excellent effect.
You need to:
Reinforce the cabs internally - anywhere you can feel cabinet talk when they're playing put a strut in. And chuck away the fiberglass wadding.
Solder all push connector connections, rear terminals, speaker and crossover.
Dampen the metal port tube so it doesn't ring anymore - I used bike inner tube.
Attend to any driver issues.
Do all this and they're twice the speaker.

Lent to my parents, I still often hear the pair I did. They replaced Bariks in their system, the Bariks now in the conservatory wringing out the wee wee. Hung off the end of a good amp these are outstanding speakers.

this adc accutrac 4000 turntable looks interesting although it could be bust, anybody have any experience of this deck?

Well, I must like them as I'm on my third and I love it! They're great fun to use and although they have a reputation for terrible unreliability, in my experience this is largely unfounded. People tell tales of the two ASICS that run the whole thing dying but I have never come across this. The only troublesome parts can be the photoelectric sensors for the arm - on power-up, the deck goes through a cycle to position the arm on the rest and reset itself, so that the control system 'knows' where the arm is. If one of the sensors fails, then it cannot complete this cycle and will sit there unresponsive.
Frankly, as this one is complete with its ultrasonic remote control handset and receiver unit, if you're tempted then I'd wade in with an offer. In fact, as it's just down the road from me, I might have a go myself...

I'm not tempted by the ADC, I just thought it looked interesting and not a silly price so if you are interested why not put an offer in.
