I can't imagine many were built, so possibly a "statement" item, hence the high price.

Looks a lot of amp for what may not be too much money.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I have actually got one of these as a back-up: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4010032240...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

They are quite rare and the sound quality is excellent, pretty powerful too. Unusually, it has a very good input for low output MCs (and normal MMs).

I suspect the look of this will be a bit marmite but I like it, anyone know whether they sound any good? Not a lot of money.

Whats the virtual battery lark Geoff? is it a battery, or capacitors running the signal stage?? if batteries can you still get them, or do you need to make them up? looks decent and if you reckon it then interested

No mention of batteries in that listing that I can see Grant. Mine certainly does not use any. It's a cracking amp!

This amp has now become my favourite 'reasonably priced' integrated, I usually subscribe to the Denon PMA-350SE school of thought (great amp).

Being an older amp (circa 1990), it's less likely to have loads of relays and 'logic' bits to play up. Mine is fine.
