    I think they were about seventy grand when they came out and went down to forty-odd so the price is about right. The amps are built in so there's a savings.

    Using a stock photo is a bit dodgy, I guess you turn up with your briefcase full of cash and get bopped on the head.

    Very rare Monitor Audio 'Monitor 9' speakers £90 or offer. I've not heard any, but they should be good being little brothers of the R852MD. I don't think he knows what model they are, postage is reasonable so well worth making an offer if you fancy compact speakers from what some may describe as the Monitor Audio golden era. Might be tempted myself!

    Not so much little brother as cheaper later version. But still sound nice for the money, I've owned 2 pairs and never not enjoyed listening to them. I did pay less than £50 for each pair though.
