    It's only £1,500.

Would have thought that would be mere bagatelle to a contributor to HRNRR.

These Roths may not be the greatest but for 40 notes are still a decent buy. A fibreglass hybrid driver and a 25mm black diamond silk dome tweeter. Pickup at Bristol

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

These give 15W RMS per channel and sound pretty good to me.

Heatsink really needs to be a bit bigger for continuous high power use. I have stuck on an old computer processor heatsink.

Thinking about it, would be difficult to beat this for a brand new power amp including postage.

I have mine feeding a nice pair of B&W DM4's, sounding excellent.

Slight mistake, I see they are now charging 5p for postage, mine was free.

“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

Down the road from I http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Wh...item19f91869cd

Question is: Are they better suited to the collector or the listener ? I'm betting the former...

Well spotted, does look a bit funny, but I don't think it is melted. The one on my unit looks OK though.

    Just seen even cheaper:
