The one he is selling (and what kind of idiot would put up a pair of speakers as two separate auctions?) has the serial number 15765. Did one of yours have the same serial number?

I just do not see how anyone can look at that auction and not know that the seller is a lying arsewipe. Any twat with a smartphone can see what a working pair goes for. stands to reason you'd plug them in somewhere to test them.

If I see any auction anywhere with "untested" on it I just assume the seller has just crawled out from under a rock and click on...

The seller doesn't claim they are working: he says he is unable to test them, so they may or may not work. As always, caveat emptor.

any body knows somebody that has a stereo whatever. caveat emptor IMHO still = something that has seeped from under a rock that I don't want to stand in.

I found your post: https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...SL-57-Speakers but the serial numbers are not mentioned, nor can it be read from your photo of the rear of one speaker.

He is listing them as 'for parts or not working'. But I despise any seller who sells a pair of speakers as two separate auctions, just as I despise those that break down, say an SME arm into parts, and auction them off separately.
